\u2018Isa bin \u2018Umailah (rahimahullah) narrates from a person who had seen the conduct of Hazrat Abu Zar (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) with his neighbours and guests. He mentions:<\/p>\n

\u201cWhenever Abu Zar would milk his goats, he would first give the milk to his neighbours and guests to drink and thereafter he would drink from the milk.\u201d<\/p>\n

One night, I saw Abu Zar milk his goats to the point where there was absolutely no milk remaining in their udders. He then presented the milk to his guests and also placed a small amount of dates before them.<\/p>\n

He thereafter apologized to them for not giving them anything else to eat as he did not possess anything else at that time, he addressed them saying, \u201cIf we had anything better than this, we would have definitely presented it before you.\u201d<\/p>\n
