Once, Hazrat \u2018Aa\u2019ishah (radhiyallahu \u2018anha) spoke to her nephew \u2018Urwah (rahimahullah) and said,<\/p>\n

\u201cO my nephew! Both your fathers (your father and your maternal grandfather), Hazrat Zubair (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) and Hazrat Abu Bakr (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu), were among the group of Sahaabah regarding whom Allah Ta\u2018ala spoke about in the following verse in regard to the battle of Uhud.<\/p>\n

Those who answered the call of Allah and the Messenger, even after being wounded, for those among them who do good and refrain from wrong is a great reward<\/em><\/p>\n

Hazrat Aa\u2019ishah (radhiyallahu \u2018anha) further mentioned, \u201cWhen difficulty had befallen Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) on the Day of Uhud (due to the disbelievers attacking the Muslims and wounding Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam)) and the disbelievers had departed, Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) feared that they may return (and try to attack the Muslims once more). Hence, Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) announced, \u201cWho will go after them (i.e. the disbelievers)?\u201d<\/p>\n

On hearing this announcement, seventy Sahaabah (radhiyallahu \u2018anhum) of Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) answered the call and went in pursuit of the disbelievers. \u00a0(The disbelievers were intending to return, but on hearing that the Sahaabah (radhiyallahu \u2018anhum) had come in pursuit of them, they abandoned their idea of returning and fled). Among the seventy sahaabah were Hazrat Abu Bakr (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) and Hazrat Zubair (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu).\u201d<\/p>\n
