Participation in the Battle of Badr

Ismaa‘eel bin abi Khaalid narrates that Bahiyy (rahimahullah) said, “There were only two horsemen fighting in Jihaad on the occasion of Badr. One was Hazrat Zubair (radhiyallahu ‘anhu), who was fighting on the right flank, and the other was Hazrat Miqdaad bin Aswad (radhiyallahu ‘anhu), who was fighting on the left flank.

Hishaam bin ‘Urwah narrates that his father, ‘Urwah (rahimahullah), said, “Hazrat Zubair (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) was wearing a yellow turban on the Day of Badr. Hazrat Jibreel (‘alaihis salaam) then descended resembling Hazrat Zubair (radhiyallahu ‘anhu i.e. he was also wearing a yellow turban).”
